Welcome to the Small Artifacts Lab, a.k.a. SMART Lab.
We advance interactive technologies by designing, prototyping, and evaluating novel embodied artifacts that are personal, intelligent, and often small in their physical form.
Our interests include how these artifacts are created, the situations where their physical presence enables new forms of interaction, and the people whose experiences they can meaningfully improve.
